  • 1995 : Chimie ParisTech : engineering school for chemistry, Paris (French system of high-level Grandes Ecoles)
  • 1995 : Master of Science in Inorganic Chemistry, University Pierre & Marie Curie (Paris 6)
  • 1997 : "Agregation" of Chemistry, French diploma for teachers at university level
  • 2000 : PhD thesis, University of Montpellier, Charles Gerhardt Institute (Study of new negative electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries)

Professional experience :
  • 2000-2001 : Postdoc, Georg-August University, Göttingen (Germany)
  • 2001-2013 : Associate professor at UPPA, IPREM laboratory.
  • Since 2013 : Full Professor position at UPPA, IPREM laboratory.

Responsabilities

 

  • Scientific co-leader of the research area "Physical-Chemistry of Surfaces and Polymer Materials" (one of the three research areas of IPREM).
  • Representative of IPREM in the scientific councils of the French Research Network on Electrochemical Storage of Energy (RS2E, http://www.energie-rs2e.com/en) and of the European Network on Electrochemical Storage of Energy (Alistore European Research Institute, http://www.alistore.eu)
  • Member of the scientific council of IPREM

Research interests

 

  • Surfaces and interfaces of materials. Associated analytical methods, electron spectroscopies (XPS, UPS, Auger).
  • Electrode materials for Li-ion and post-Li-ion batteries (sodium-ion, lithium-sulfur, all-solid-stat ). Insertion mechanisms of electrochemically active ions. Electrode/electrolyte intefaces and passivation layers (SEI)
  • Modelling of XPS valence spectra and theory/experience correlation.
