UPPA prize for our doctoral student
During the Exact Sciences and Applications Doctoral School Days, held on July 4 and 5, 2023 at the STEE college of the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, Ouiza Mesguida was awarded the 1st prize for 2nd-year doctoral students for the presentation of her research work.
The title of Ouiza's thesis is “Biocontrol of a pathogenic fungus, Fomitiporia mediterranea, of Esca, a devastative grapevine trunk disease, using bacteria isolated from Vitis vinifera”.
This CIFRE thesis is funded by the Association Nationale Recherche Technologie, the company GreenCell, E2S via the Biovine program, and the ANR WinEsca Industrial Chair.

International collaboration
As part of a collaboration with the Institut Supérieur des Métiers du Patrimoine de Tunis (ISMPT), Dr. Asma Ben Ghnaya-Chakroun (senior lecturer at ISMPT) stayed at IPREM (UMR 5254, CNRS/UPPA) from July 10 to 25, 2023. The aim was to formalize our joint activities for the coming years.
