After completing my basic training as a mechanical engineer (with a degree in mechanical engineering), I shifted my focus to the physics and chemistry of polymers (Ph.D. thesis). Currently, my research activities range from studying the effects of chemical structure on the rheological properties of molten polymers to investigating processing instabilities in molten polymers. Investigating the relationships between polymer microstructure (monomer volume, energy barrier, etc.) and their viscoelastic properties (viscosity, moduli, etc.) is the central focus of my research.
