"Photochromic solar cells: photovoltaic devices with adaptive optical transmission"
Dr R. Demadrille obtained his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Aix-Marseille II in 2000 with an industrial scholarship from PPG Industries and Essilor International. He then spent 1 year in the R&D center of an international chemical company before joining the CEA in 2002 to develop semiconducting polymers for organic photovoltaics. He is now head of the STEP team at CEA Grenoble and Associate Editor of two RSC journals. His research focuses on the synthesis and characterization of new pi-conjugated molecules, dyes and macromolecules for solar energy conversion.
