"Photo-mediated polymerization-induced self-assembly: a robust approach for direct access to polysaccharides-based nano-objects of advanced morphologies"

Abstract:
Soft nano-objects are of great relevance for nanomedecine and cosmic industry. Currently, investigations on the self-assembly of polysaccharide derivatives show mostly spheres, while advanced ones (worms and vesicles) are scarce.1 This can be explained by the unsuitability of conventional multi-steps techniques that use
organic solvents.2 Recently, we demonstrate the ability of the emerging one-pot methodology called “Polymerization Induced Self-Assembly” (PISA) to produce polysaccharides-based nanoobjects of large sets of morphology.3-5
